This Master's provides an applied overview of the health sector which enables students to take on responsibilities in health management, directing functional areas and services and professional team leadership in health centers and care for people.
The professionalisation of healthcare management requires multidisciplinary training that enables workers to make the right decisions when addressing the population’s changing health protection and healthcare needs. All within the complex world of healthcare systems, organisations, companies, services and processes.
Healthcare managers must have basic knowledge of the disciplines related to healthcare management, such as Health Sciences, Economic and Business Sciences, Law, Communication Sciences, Engineering and Architecture.
As a result, the teaching staff in the University Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management is made up of lecturers from both academia and the field of professional management. Such outstanding staff members enable us to provide a solid theoretical background, reinforced with exercises involving case studies and innovative simulation exercises.
UIC Barcelona also has agreements with a broad network of health organisations and centres in which students will gain work experience in all major areas of health organisation management: clinic and patients, human resources, reporting and control systems and resources.
At the end of the year, the students will convey what they have learned in the Final Master’s Degree Project (TFM), which must be applicable to the reality of these organisations.
